Caption
Two girl sisters Abeer*, 3, (right) and Muna*, 1, (left) sitting inside their tent in the camp. Abeer is sucking a lollipop.
(Their father is Ameen (photo and video interview) and their sister Arwa* was also photographed.)
Their family fled the war with her family when it reached their homeland in Taiz governorate (province). They have been living in the IDP camp for more than two years now. With a severe lack of food, water and the most basic essential items, life is a real struggle.
With the impact of coronavirus, help has decreased even more. Most families in the camp are living hand-to-mouth, reliant on earning money one day to find food for the next. Already malnourished and with no access to healthcare, the threat of Coronavirus means they are in even more danger.
They urgently need food, water, toilets, improved tents and access to healthcare.
